Our Mission
At P.U.R.P.O.S.E Wellness Center, our mission is to empower youth and young adults on navigating life’s challenges with resilience, hope, and compassionate support. We provide comprehensive, youth-focused behavioral health services—including therapeutic groups, individual counseling, evidence-based skill-building activities, psychoeducation, and crisis support, —designed to help every young person build strength, heal from family or personal substance use impacts, and thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Taryn is passionate about helping individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. Based in Columbus, Ohio, he brings over 5 years of experience in outpatient and residential treatment, as well as providing school-based support for youth.

Eddris is an 18-year-old student advocate dedicated to empowering high school and college students. He offers valuable resources and mentorship focused on helping students stay motivated and resilient in challenging situations.
Having experienced profound personal loss — with the passing of his biological father and later with the loss of his adoptive father in 2025 — Eddris has developed a deep understanding of adversity. These experiences have fueled his passion to guide others in overcoming their own challenges and finding their purpose.

Driven by a deep belief that no one should face life’s challenges alone, Dr. Garlington is committed to ensuring her patients receive the best care and achieve their highest level of wellness.
With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, she earned her PMHNP degree from the University of Cincinnati and her Doctorate of Nursing in Family Medicine from South University.
